There are two daily drawings – a Day draw and an Evening draw. You can purchase tickets until 1:00 p.m. for the Day draw, or 9:30 p.m. for the Evening draw, and the winning numbers are selected shortly afterwards.
Choose three numbers from 0 to 9, pick a play type and select which draw time to enter.
You can play a Straight, Box, Straight/Box or Combo. There are also a couple of add-on plays - Front Pair and Back Pair. Go to the How to Play page to learn about the differences between each play type.
Yes, you can play a Front Pair or Back Pair on their own, or as an add-on to another play type for an extra $1.
Yes, Pick 3 Plus costs $1 per play. If you play a Straight/Box, this means that $0.50 is played as a Straight and $0.50 as a Box. Combo plays are a bit different, as you are effectively entering each combination of your chosen numbers as a separate Straight, so the cost is $3 or $6 depending on whether you play a 3-Way or a 6-Way.
A 3-Way play is a set of numbers that contains two identical numbers and one that is unique, such as 112 or 343. A 6-Way play has three different numbers, for example 567 or 804. The term refers to how many ways those numbers can be arranged.
You have to match all the numbers you pick as per the conditions of the play type. For example, you must get all three numbers in the correct positions if you are playing a Straight. There is no prize for matching fewer numbers than you have picked, for example two out of three, or one out of two if playing a Pair.
Each play type has its own fixed prize. The most you can win is $500, which is up for grabs if you play a Straight. Go to the Prizes page to see all the amounts you can win.
It is possible that you might receive a lower prize than advertised, but it is very unlikely. The New Mexico Lottery has a maximum fund of $125,000 for each prize tier, so you are guaranteed to receive the full amount as long as the total to be paid out would not exceed $125,000 for your particular play type.
Yes, you can enter your numbers in up to 14 consecutive drawings by marking the relevant option in the Multi-Draw section of your playslip.
No. All sales are final. You cannot cancel a Pick 3 Plus ticket after purchase. It is your responsibility as a player to check all your selections before submitting a playslip.
